Public material contains differences users need to resolve for themselves. The site often says “all local,” while the docs allow cloud and bring-your-own-key summary providers; speaker diarization is marked beta in the docs but still appears as coming soon in parts of the repository; and Community versus Pro boundaries are spread across pages. The repository privacy file still contains a date placeholder, and the security page makes strong GDPR- and HIPAA-by-design statements without a formal certification we could verify. The macOS release lists an updater signature but no separate DMG signature asset. Check the actual version and settings for network calls, telemetry, storage, deletion, signing, and organizational policy before use.

The iPhone app requires iOS 17+, lists English only, and has no declared accessibility support. AI Skills need keyboard Full Access on iOS; the developer policy says selected text or clipboard input is sent to Acti and model providers only after an explicit trigger. Connected tools can read or act on your behalf, so review important actions and keep a revocation path. Google Play says “in-app purchases,” while the May terms say the service does not charge users; those statements are not aligned.

Connecting requires gmail.modify, which can read mail and apply labels, archive, or move messages to Trash. The security page says it stores only sender, subject, and about a 100-character preview, and says email is not used to train AI. The privacy policy dated June 7, 2026, however, allows partial or full message-body processing, session replays that may capture visible email information, and Gmail-derived data and interactions to train models used only by PureBox. Those statements are not fully aligned. The service is operated by one person and the policy notes there is no staffed support. Until those differences are satisfactorily explained, do not start with a mailbox containing sensitive, regulated, or company-confidential information.

Kimi 2.5, no AI-data collection on Oka servers, and approval for sensitive actions are maker statements, not network- or gate-tested facts. Apple's no-data-collected label does not fully align with the general policy's error-log and service-provider disclosures. Posting, community maintenance, and media downloads still need to follow each site's rules and copyright.

The flow says read-only, but published Google and Teams setup includes message, file, directory, and administrative write scopes; admins should require a least-privilege list and revocation plan. Zero retention does not explain transient storage, attachments, logs, backups, or deletion evidence. Pricing is not public, and accuracy, customer, and compliance figures are team claims, so buyers should request the DPA, audits, and contract.

'Free forever' conflicts with paid subscriptions, auto-renewal, and missing public pricing, so confirm price and refunds before signing up. ATS, interview, and review figures lack public methods and conflict with the linked Trustpilot state. Resumes may enter AI processing and local cache or become searchable public links, so review retention, deletion, and sharing controls before uploading.

Automated categorization, EU coverage, and efficiency figures lack public methods or independent evaluation. SOC 2, HIPAA, and ISO 27001 are still in progress; obtain the DPA, processors, regions, backup, and deletion details before connecting financial data. Qualified people must review AI, VAT, and accounting outputs, and users should confirm trial renewal terms.

Local chat does not mean fully offline: model downloads, web search, anonymous analytics, and crash reports have network boundaries. The App Store's no-data-collection wording conflicts with its device, interaction, and crash-data privacy label. Local quality is limited by Mac memory and the selected model.

Time-zone abbreviations, daylight saving, and missing dates can remain ambiguous, so important meetings need a manual check. Ambiguous fragments may use the cloud, while optional accounts and diagnostics create additional data. Google Analytics and Ads configuration on the site still needs reconciliation with its no-advertising-or-behavioral-tracking statement.

The product remains at 0.5.x and hosted publishing is in closed beta. We have not installed it to test no-telemetry, local-key, or source-bounded-answer claims. Publishing stores account, content, conversation, and usage data, and the site's analytics script conflicts with its privacy text.

It currently requires macOS 26 or later, and speed, accuracy, and battery use depend on hardware. Users must obtain recording consent and review transcripts, translations, and summaries. Update requests may include IP and app version, and we have not network-tested the offline claim.

We did not test accuracy, brand consistency, or bulk workflows with real product assets, and did not independently verify customer, conversion, return, or emissions figures. The pricing section advertises 30 one-time free credits while the sign-up screen says 50 free credits, so the current public information is inconsistent; enterprise integration, asset rights, review, and scaling costs still need separate evaluation.

Insurance claims and bias analysis are legally high stakes, requiring attorney review, evidence traceability, access control, and secure document handling. A public pilot does not prove scale reliability, and reported performance and fairness metrics are not independently audited.

Software completion is not service completion: print quality, document privacy, postal delays, refunds, and support determine the experience. Acquisition depends on search rankings and seasonality, while programmatic pages carry quality and indexing risks.
