What it can help with

Writing one useful reply on a phone often means switching to search, Calendar, or Notion and bringing the result back. Acti lets the user trigger a lookup or connected tool from the current text field and return the result to the same place.

Who may find it useful

iPhone or Android users who are comfortable with an English interface and checking third-party keyboard permissions and results before each action. It is not for sending sensitive conversations to cloud services or letting email, document, or calendar actions run without review.

Know these limits before you start

The iPhone app requires iOS 17+, lists English only, and has no declared accessibility support. AI Skills need keyboard Full Access on iOS; the developer policy says selected text or clipboard input is sent to Acti and model providers only after an explicit trigger. Connected tools can read or act on your behalf, so review important actions and keep a revocation path. Google Play says “in-app purchases,” while the May terms say the service does not charge users; those statements are not aligned.

Compared with other options

Compared with copying text into a general AI app and back, it removes switching. Compared with a system keyboard, Siri, or a separate automation app, it is closer to the text field but brings a broader keyboard-permission and cloud-processing surface. Built-in tools may be simpler for rewriting alone; connected work accounts call for least privilege and reversible tasks first.
