The finished series leads to questions about story choice, rework and finding an audience. Reporting documents important decisions, but the team has not published reproducible shot records or accounts.

The official season-one page identifies the work and its heat metric.

Hongguo lists season one as an 81-episode AI comic drama. On September 23, 2026, its page displayed 49.59 million in its own heat metric. This is not a view count, paying audience or profit. Later seasons need separate records.

Why this story and a 3D format

Reporting describes adaptation rights, audience and format choices.

Journalist Li Xuexue reports that the team obtained adaptation rights to Na Yaomo Shi Jiang Daren! without an upfront rights fee through a Fanqie Novel incentive programme, then chose a 3D comic-drama format. The report links the choice to audience and visual differentiation. We have not examined the agreement, its scope or term.

To learn from the decision, first establish rights and whether the intended audience will follow the characters across episodes. Format also changes asset work, shot rework and cost.

When a generated shot cannot be used

The early 30% discarded-output figure is reported, not our shot audit.

The same interview reports that roughly 30% of early output was discarded and describes storyboard quality control and an internal digital canvas. It shows the need to select and redo generated material. It does not provide a shot-by-shot error list or the inputs, settings and revised results.

No circulating prompt can be attributed to the team without evidence, and another tool's demo cannot stand in for this series' rework. The separate open sample below provides actual version records for comparison.

The quiet first week and what followed

The team recounts its first release; the cause of later growth needs more evidence.

The report recounts about one quiet week after season one's release, followed by growing platform metrics and further seasons. Finishing a film does not ensure an audience. Without distribution analytics, paid-promotion costs or packaging changes, the cause of growth remains uncertain.

Future research will align season identity, release dates, platform metrics and creator posts on one timeline, adding trailers, covers, clips and audience response when the record supports it.

Evidence still needed

The economic questions beyond heat

Public material does not establish cost, receipts or profit.

Rights, writing, character work, storyboards, generation, post-production and distribution all involve paid work in principle. The available record does not establish who paid whom, actual receipts or profit. Platform heat and media estimates are no substitute for accounts.

A small start is a rights-cleared story and one scene: estimate shot count, tolerable rework and affordable cost, then examine current platform release and payment rules. Business decisions require your own tests, contracts and actual receipts.
