Meta’s roughly 30B dense open multimodal model accepts text/images and outputs text under Apache 2.0. Current AA/high is 17. Quantized 24/32GB target configurations differ from full precision; this August release is not today’s launch, and text-index results do not establish all agent performance.
Each model uses its highest tested setting, with fallback conditions retained. The original K3 page is marked deprecated; max 44 is its retained historical result, checked for readability rather than a new test. K3.1 Pro is separate. Scores use one evaluator, mainly for English text tasks; examine Chinese and image capabilities separately.
Coding, debugging and codebase understanding advance through co-training with Muse Code; the model and terminal agent launch together as distinct layers.
The official blog explicitly dates the open roughly 30B dense multimodal Apache 2.0 weights to August 10. Cataloguing it and AA/high 17 on October 26 does not change that event date.
The new series emphasizes Active Memory, Active Focus, long-running tasks and coding. Wonder opens through Meta Model API and Muse Code; Full is for Muse Code subscribers. Personal Muse integration remains a later rollout.
The 816B-total, 42B-active multimodal model releases weights under the Muse Model License. It derives from August’s Spark with additional safety post-training, rather than the same weights as Spark 1.3 or Wonder.
