Apple Watch to add AI audio features: conversation highlights and a 15-second rewind

Live Rewind displays the previous 15 seconds of speech as text. Apple’s example is a running-route instruction: keep left after the marker unless you want a longer loop. You can then ask Siri about it or save the snippet.

Siri Recap produces a title and short summary for a conversation. Another official example organizes a training discussion into a three-day routine and the next session. It is a memory aid, rather than a word-for-word meeting record.

Apple says Siri Recap can run at chosen times or places, and summaries can be exported to Notes. A quick instruction at work or a plan agreed before heading out illustrates the appeal: pay attention now, find the useful point later. How well that works remains to be seen when the beta arrives.

Live Rewind and Siri Recap are planned for an English-language beta in late 2026, requiring Series 12 or Ultra 4 and a supported iPhone; the EU is initially excluded. Apple says no audio recording is retained. Unsaved Recaps expire after seven days.
