UNDERSTANDING · What we know
Uses, conditions and important changes.
OpenMAIC · Based on sources through 6 Sept 2026
OpenMAIC generates interactive lessons from a topic or source material. Version 1.0 adds conversational editing and, with server storage configured, resumable building sessions. For teaching and training, the useful question is whether drafts can be corrected reliably and how much manual work remains.
Conditions and open questions
The course workbench is off by default. Session recovery requires runtime, storage and model configuration; public multi-user use also needs access controls. These are documented features, not tested results for generation quality, cost or learning outcomes.
What to check next
Build a lesson from familiar material and inspect factual errors, whether requested edits are applied, and whether editing can resume after saving.
