TRACKING · Tracking record

funes · Records and changes

The funes memory tool for coding agents, following official release evidence on capability and local data ownership.

UNDERSTANDING · What we know

Uses, conditions and important changes.

funes · Based on sources through 6 Sept 2026

funes offers a way to recover earlier coding decisions and their reasons. It indexes sessions locally and links retrieved passages to the original conversation. Optional publishing to a dataset you control supports use across machines or collaborators. Retrieval accuracy and time saved still need testing.

Conditions and open questions

Local indexing does not keep the entire workflow on your device: a coding agent may send recalled text to a hosted model. Sharing also requires checking dataset permissions and contents. This account is based on maintainer documentation and does not include an installation test.

What to check next

Check whether it retrieves known decisions in a real project with the right context, including decisions that were later overturned.

01
THE FULL RECORD · Full timeline

2 events retained by the site.

This object’s records stay together across live coverage, the watch pool and history. Every event links to its source record; corroboration and material changes have separate labels.

Dates use Beijing time. Open an event for its full record, original source and evidence. Corroboration adds support without counting as a material change.

02
COVERAGE · Record status

How these records are currently listed.

Coverage status describes how this site maintains its records, not whether a product is worth using. Existing records remain available after leaving the current list.

Registered follow-up scope

These are registered scopes, not complete product coverage or a receipt for the latest successful check.

03
THE LINEAGE · Lineage

An ongoing record around the same identity.

Source evidence identifies this line. Changing category or moving into history does not create a new identity.
