Reader bundles library-wide retrieval, organization, and MCP into a single update
The update expands library questions, document chat and tool access, while mobile library-wide chat remained planned.
From one document to the whole library
Reader Update #14 adds library-wide Ghostreader and rebuilds search to include Readwise 2.0. Mobile gains single-document chat; mobile library-wide chat was still planned at the time.
Access material from external tools
MCP and CLI provide access for external tools. This record concerns the August 6, 2026 update and keeps released and planned features distinct.
