Doubao Phone Assistant reaches consumers: read the screen, find records and act

Turn a message into a calendar reminder, or retrieve something from yesterday’s interview: Doubao’s consumer release connects small tasks with the context already on your phone.

The screen becomes an input

The September 14 report and official overview describe asking questions and starting tasks from the current screen. Demonstrations include calendar reminders from messages and finding a cabinet that matches a room, size limit and budget.

Find answers in saved records

With user authorization, the assistant can search local photos, messages and notes. Users can deliberately save the current screen for later retrieval. Feishu Minutes integration also lets them ask about earlier recordings.

A consumer release with beta automation

Nubia NaviX Ultra is the first consumer device, with September 16 sales reported. The official site also announces an update for M153 owners. Phone automation remains in beta; apps can declare whether they accept screen automation through SAEP. This is not universal control of every app.

Background and context

The consumer release adds screen questions, local record search and Feishu meeting notes on Nubia NaviX Ultra. Phone automation remains in beta, with apps able to declare access boundaries.

On-screen content and saved records can become task inputs, reducing the need to find screenshots or copy context again.

Availability follows the official device scope; beta automation does not cover every app.
